If you want to do it online then I would try progressive. They show you how much they will charge and how much 2 other companies would charge. For me they were the best option. I dont have a motorcycle though. I have 2 cars and for 6months its $600... Alot better then what I was paying with state farm... which was $234 per car... per month... You might try them because they compare.

No. It's simply not worth all of the trouble to have it as your main stay. The weather in Ohio would have you cursing the decision to ride around on 2 wheels all year around. See about getting a $2000 4 banger car in it's stead?

I would expect to pay around 10 to 15 dollars a month depending on your deductible.
Looks like its all just about covered except maybe taking the defensive driving; even though you may not need it, (we all could use a little of it) it still counts in the discount column. -Congrats on your Air Force gig: do well & be safe, and thanks for serving.

I agree. I had three, tried to be mr racer and totaled one. I have the roketa fiji (or aruba) and roketa catalina (more touring oriented). The one I wrecked was the roketa bali. That thing went almost 65 mph. The others hit between 55 and 60. So far have put a few thousand miles problem free on them. Cheap chinese scooters rock!!!!
I believe that if it can exceed 30 mph and has an engine larger than 50cc you will need a MC endorsement on your license. MC Insurance is considerably lower than auto. Tags are cheaper. As far as life span, it depends on how well you take care of it. Below is a link to the Texas DOT.
