Duke asked:

Also, what is the cost of each insurance? And which one should I get? I am 18 and going and live in PA. Thanks to anyone who could help.

Reply:

It is the same as with car insurance. If you only have liability, then you are covered for accidents you cause and the insurance company will pay out to the other driver (up to policy limits). Damage to your bike will not be covered. Basic liability isn't too expensive, but it depends on your age and the size of your bike's motor.

If you have full coverage, then your bike will be fixed no matter who is at fault. You really only need this coverage if you have a new bike. Full coverage can be expensive - once again it is based on your age and the size of the bike's motor.

I currently pay about $350/year for full coverage on an 1100 cc bike (Moto Guzzi).
