Reply:
Chubb, but they won't write if you have any riders under 30, and they won't write it stand alone.
Progressive is pretty competitive. Outside of Chubb, there isn't much variation in coverage.

surely what he owes will be taken from the money he has and you and your sister will get whats leftover if anything. reguardless of you being beneficeries or not, he borrowed money he has to pay it back, and if he had no protection on it for death etc, then his next of kin foot the cost.
The house, car and bike will be taken back by the finance people, wether it be the bank who will sell them, or finance companies.
its sad your dad has passed away, but he hasnt done you any favors
go ahead and take the written exam now and get your learners permit.
Once you get to your permanent assignment take the "Free" MSF course on base (you need it anyway to ride on base). this should wave the riding portion of your license (depends on the state) and you can get your license.
If you get stationed overseas then you can go and order a bike from the Military sales located at the local exchange. Not all bases have one but they will have a phone number you can call and get the paperwork started on buying a bike (depending on the bike you could save as much as $5,000) For a sportster you will probably only save a couple of thousand.
Congrats on deciding to Join the Corp!
That's up to you. The insurance company gave you some property forms to fill out. If you filled them out and gave them to the adjuster, you should be seeing at least a portion in the next week or two. The list should have been what you had, it's age, and how much it was worth. The adjuster has to input into their system, and will pay at least a portion of it within a few weeks after they get it.
As to your ALE (additional living expense), give the adjuster receipts for the eating out, etc, and then they can pay you for what you spent. Realize that you only get that amount over what you usually spend. Let's say that your groceries cost $20 per day, but because you had to eat out you spent $100 per day. You would get $80
So…make sure you get the adjuster what they have asked for, so that they can get you paid.
By the way, a public adjuster does not make it faster, actually makes it slower
nice bike dude cant wait for mine
That is a good question. I know in home owners insurance you can get what we call "total replacement". It cost extra but they do not depreciate the property that is covered.
However, in auto insurance I have never heard of anything like that. I live in SC and we do not have full replacement value. If you have an accident and it was the other persons fault, then normally you can settle for full replacement if they are insured. If the accident if your fault or the vehicle is stolen, I do not think you can full replacement value. They may allow you more than the book value since it is considered an antique and worth more than the book value and may be able to get the market value. If the insurance denies the claim you might want to discuss this with an attorney. Sometimes they can help in situations like this. Good Luck…..lol
1. Written and driven.
2. Take the MSF rider course. If you pass the driving test at the end of the course you don't have to take the driving test at the DMV.
3. All motorcycles are manual. You must shift through the gears.
4. Japanese brands such as Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki.
5. I pay $345 a year.
Check with the company that insurance company, that wrote the policy on your truck. Ask them the cost to add an motorcycle to your policy. If you do not like the quote then shop around. No one can give you a quote for we don't know thing like your driving record, credit score ( this can affect your quote).
bahaha i wish there was sound so we could hear what he says after he falls
Howto Find Harley Davidson Motorcycle Insurance
Debt Info:: Finding Motorcycle Insurance …
It all depends on the wording on the title/registration. If it reads : you "OR: him, you can remove it. If it reads: You "AND" Him, you cannot remove it without his signature. Even if you manage to get everything in just your name, he still has the cycle. What have you gained ?
there is no point in placing a lien on the bike if it is already destroyed. however, if he is repairing it, yes you can place a lien on the bike. you would have to do it in the state where the bike is.
alternatively, take the jerk to court, get your judgment and recover your losses that way (including court and legal fees)
good luck

I think the other people that have answered this question are the tip of the iceberg so far as a reality check goes. Sounds like you have some cool toys, but they're not making you happy, bummer. Any idea why? Like, I have a ton of amazing jewelry, but like it or no I've only got one neck. 3 cars + harley still = only one thing you're cruising in at a time.
BUT that's not the question you asked.
Do you really know where that 14.5K/mo goes? I'd say document it for one month and see if you can cut anything (other than the beloved party boat!) without cramping your style.
Can you consolidate anywhere? (ie: throw a little more money towards one of the 3 current cars and try to knock that loan out faster to add to your play money sooner?) Maybe you're bored with one of the three? I'm sure they are probably all unique in their own way, but is one of them maybe less cool then the harley? Maybe ditch a convertable (if you have one) so that you can rationalize that the hardtop is the rainy day car and the harley is the gorgeous weather ride? Just brainstorming. I know you said you are trying to sell a bike & a boat already, so you kinda have this covered. 3 cars is a ton only because they take up space & the maintenence is a hassle, where a new bike wouldn't be as time consuming right away. Anyway…
Is there ANYTHING you can do to cut back just a little? Maybe one or two less dinners out a week? Watch movies at home, rather than go out, under the guise of you & your friends are able to drink through the entertainment w/o you looking cheap?
I don't know what you do for fun, so it's hard to make suggestions that will speak to how you really live day to day… your options are basically to figure out how to get more money coming IN or tweak how the money goes OUT.
Longterm: a good credit score opens more doors than all the trust funds in the universe, I swear. I'd seriously look into consolidating loans or at least refinancing the current toys if you can't bear to part with them, so that when you want something REALLY big later, you'll have the weight to make it happen. The best ways to improve your credit score are to:
- pay your current bills on time, more than the minimum
- don't open any new credit cards, and never close an account, especially the oldest ones you have that show you've had credit established in your name for a long time.
- once you've paid stuff down, choose a couple of accounts that you just won't use anymore. The amount of debt you have compared to what you total credit limit is = a huge part of your score. Leaving yourself that emergeny account or two doesn't seem like a big deal, because you know you have the trust money coming in, but it makes you look damn good on paper!
Last strategy: After documenting your expenses for a month (or 2 or 3), and tweaking them to be attractive (less debt!) … maybe talk to your dad again about increasing the limit because you can prove you know where it's going AND can prove you need more? Bare minimum it will show him you're thinking about being responsible. Have him get someone to teach you the basics (betond what I've got here) & he will be mucho impressed.
Good luck! I will think Harley thoughts for you.
